The fun continues The Back Nine is a true test with most fairways framed by a thick line of pine trees. Longer than the Front Nine and featuringthe 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th & 17th as 5 of the 6 hardest rated holes on the course. Our own "Amen Corner" with 11th, 12th & 13th guaranteed to test the best. Enjoy!!!!
The 1st of many tough holes on the back nine, this Par 4 (Men) or Par 5 (Women) is a true test. Wide drive landing area and then generally a long iron into the large sloping green. Rated 2nd hardest on the course, and understandably.
Tip - Don't go left here as the green will close off and over the green is a tough uphill chip
Part of our own "Amen Corner", nothing but trouble left and right all the way to the pin on this Par 4 that favours the left side of the fairway. Certainly a hole to value a par.
Tip - Left side of the fairway is a must to open the green for your 2nd shot
The course "beast"" Par 5. Drive to a wide fairway but this then narrows for your 2nd & 3rd shot as you get closer to the hole. Generally playing your 3rd shot from a downhill lie to the green just to add to the difficulty.
Tip - A mid iron for your 2nd shot can leave a slighly easier 3rd shot, but don''t miss the green long or left, water and uphill chips are your dangers
Great hole - uphill Par 3 with a treacherous sloping green to putt on. Plays longer than it looks for both Men & Women. Hit the green, take 2 putts and hurry to the next. Take a breath now, you are past Amen Corner.
Tip - All uphill so maybe go a club longer to reach
Rated the toughest hole on the course for Men, this Par 4 (Men) & Par 5 (Women) certainly earns its rating. Stay left for your drive which then opens up the green for your long iron in.
Tip - Anything that lands short of the green will generally run down the left slope
A short Par 4 but the a big dogleg left makes this a risk and reward hole. A big bending drive will give you a short chip, otherwise, tee to the top of the hill with an iron and then play a full shot to the green.
Tip - Left or long of the green presents a tough chip. Stay right
A similar hole to the neighouring 6th, this par 4 starts with a wide fairway then a short iron to a big green.
Tip - Left hand side of the fairway opens the green up for approach and avoids the right hand bunker
Penultimate hole, Par 4 is the hardest on the course for our ladies and is a great looking hole with a wide fairway. The green is up the hill and protected to the right with a deep bunker. Tough shot in...
Tip - Center left is the short way home required to shoot for the pin adn take the bunker on the right out of play
The Clubhouse and a cold drink beckons after a tough back 9.. From the elevated tee, this Par 3 is a great finishing hole with the members watching on.
Tip - Pick your club and hit with confidence, nothing better than to finish with a birdie to bring you back for another round! Lets talk about the round at 19th!!
